Selva Colombiana, Cali, Colombia 2018
South East from Cali is an area of lush wilderness that reaches the Pacific Coast of Colombia. In this area, there was a red-eyed bird with a long tail like the pendulum of a clock, the Barranquero. This beautiful bird always seemed to be somewhere nearby whenever I found myself in the forest, flying a little way ahead of me all the time. Much of the jungle is being encroached upon by development and for farming such as sugar cane and cattle, but where it has been left untouched and unharmed these areas thrive with lush flora/trees and one of the largest diversities of bird life in the world.
