Corvus, Dartmoor National Park, UK 2015
Inspired by the mystical oak forests of Dartmoor National Park, an area of wild, open moorland and deep river valleys rich in myths and legends. Dartmoor is formed on granite rock, produced deep in the earth over 300 million years ago. Humans have tamed it in many ways over the last 10,000 years producing mixed habitats that support many unique species. On the jutting tors or where the dark river dart cuts through the forest valleys it still feels pretty wild. I’ve written a few songs sitting by its banks watching the iron coloured water flow by and looked down upon quietly by many a forest animal in the tree tops.
